Vocal Health Risks
Singing and vocal exercises involve the physical use of the vocal cords and surrounding muscles. Incorrect or excessive use of the voice can cause physical harm (phonotrauma), including but not limited to vocal strain, hoarseness, vocal cord nodules, polyps, vocal cord hemorrhage, and dysphonia.
If you experience pain, persistent hoarseness, voice loss, strain, or discomfort while performing any exercises in this course, stop immediately and consult a qualified medical professional.
You should consult a physician or ENT specialist before beginning vocal exercises if you have any pre-existing vocal health conditions, including but not limited to: vocal cord nodules, polyps, or cysts; vocal cord dysfunction; acid reflux (GERD) or laryngopharyngeal reflux; recent throat or laryngeal surgery; active respiratory illness; or any other condition affecting the throat, voice, or breathing.
Assumption of Risk
By participating in this course and performing the vocal exercises contained within it, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with such activities, including the risk of vocal injury. You acknowledge that vocal exercises carry inherent physical risks and that this course is delivered in a pre-recorded format without real-time supervision or correction by the instructor.
